Others see me like a bag of skittles this is because skittles are all different colors and tastes. From Grape (purple), Lemon (yellow), Green Apple or Lime (green), Orange (orange), and Strawberry (red) not everyone favors each color the same. The skittle colors represent how different people view me diversely. When you first see a skittle, some might judge it based on the color, but then you taste it and have a different opinion about it after you try it. When people first see me, they may have a preconception of what I am like, but until they get to know me, they won't have a fair opinion. Even after getting to know someone or trying something, people will still always have contrary opinions.  For instance, some people may like me because I am smart, others may like me because I am kind, and some may not even want to get to know me. Regarding a package of skittles, some may like the green skittle, some may prefer the red, and some may never even try the yellow. I also believe a bag of skittles personifies how people view me; each color can represent a part of my personality they observe.

When I was about the age of seven, I traveled to Mexico with my family and my grandparents. It was a special trip because my grandparents flew all the way from Maine. The vacation in Mexico was full of family bonding and making memories that I can still remember. Over the trip, we went into a little boutique shop, and I saw a necklace that I fell in love with. However, it was a bit expensive, so my parents didn't think it was reasonable to buy it for me. On the last day of the trip, my grandpa surprised me, and he had bought the necklace from the boutique as a gift for me. The bright red soccer ball necklace was worn around my neck until it came time to be placed in a special spot in my room; because the chain had become too worn down to wear.  The necklace was so special to me, and it ultimately became symbolic of how I see myself. Soccer has led me to many ups and down throughout my life, and has caused me to become a much stronger and resilient person. Today, because I still possess this necklace, it resembles something tangible that represents how I see myself because of what I have been through to this day. During high school, numerous changes arose due to unexpected soccer injuries. These injuries led me to give up my soccer career that had been apart of my life since the age of 5 and find other interests. I regard myself as resilient and able to take unfortunate situations and turn them into something great. Also, a soccer ball represents a game that I grew up alongside. Soccer taught me infinite skills such as working within a team, never giving up, and being competitive. These all are qualities that I Identify with.

I don't want people to see me as a piece of plain bread since it is naturally bland and dull. Sandwich bread, a familiar food, is universally known for a distinct taste. There is no depth to it, and bread has no extraordinary flavor, so you always have to add something to it. This means it will never be good enough just by itself. I wouldn't want people to think of me as someone that you already know everything about by just looking at them. A piece of bread has no surprises, and purchasing it at the store is not incredibly exciting. I want to be viewed as something or someone that as you keep learning more about, I get more interesting and more fun to be around. I don't want to be viewed as bland or boring because I am very adventurous and enjoy discovering new things. Additionally, I want to be good enough as just me and never feel like I need to change or add something to myself to be satisfactory. Finally, I want to be viewed as someone who knows who they are and is remembered by their distinct personality.

I would like to be seen as a dollar this is because a dollar has so many meanings. First, it has the definite meaning the basic monetary unit of the US, and then it has many other not as distinct meanings. You can give a dollar to someone in need, and it shows you are compassionate. Besides, you can buy a million different things with a dollar. You can take a risk and invest your dollar and try to make more money, or you can be satisfied with what you have. I want to be seen as someone with a lot of depth and not just something you know everything about from just looking at them. I like the idea that different people can interpret me in various ways, or mean something else to each individual. For someone who doesn't have a lot of money, a dollar can mean the world to them and make the difference between if they get something to eat that day or not. I aspire to be seen as someone who you can learn a lot from and someone who can make a difference in your life like a dollar can.  I like the idea that someone can think of me as a friend, a change maker, a  coworker, etc.; directly correlating to a dollar because not everyone thinks of a dollar as identical. I admire that people can have a definitive way of knowing by mere observation, or someone can know me in a way that isn't so blatant. Additionally, I like the fact that some see one dollar as something to be invested to gain. I desire to be perceived as someone who you can get to know and take away something more from knowing me.
